Saint Luke's Mid America Heart Institute
The Heart Safe Community Partnership evolved as a good will initiative, designed to encourage the community to invest in themselves in an effort to increase survival from sudden cardiac arrest. In its first 5 years, 3300 community first responders have been trained and 329 AEDs placed by the Heart Safe Community team.
EPAD is a nonprofit organization created by Evergreen Paramedic, Dave Montesi, in 2003 to assist local businesses and organizations in the purchase and placement of Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs). Since its inception, EPAD has placed thirty-four AEDs throughout the community in areas of high risk. EPAD is proud of the 100% success rate it has on two lives saved using AEDs, which were placed through this program.

PUBLIC ACCESS to DEFIBRILLATION (PAD) PROGRAMS
AED Authority® adamantly supports PAD programs. Public Access to Defibrillation (PAD) programs are non-profit entities that typically place AEDs throughout their local communities. Most often, these programs are financed through local charities and fund raising events. AED Authority® recognizes the management of AEDs and accessories can be a monumental task for the volunteers of these programs. Further, various AED Statutes require PAD programs to properly document the tracking & maintenance of these life saving devices.
In an effort to promote and maintain PAD programs, AED Authority® provides exceptional pricing for access to our AED Concierge® Web Application. AED Authority® will grant full access to our AED management portal and track the elements of your entire PAD program (Serial Numbers, Locations, Maintenance Checks, Expiration Dates - batteries and pads). If you are the AED Coordinator of a recognized non-profit PAD program, please contact us about our community AED management offering.
